Even further, here at LCCC we envision a world where everyone enjoys equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities.

RECOGNIZING &
COMBATTING RACISM

We’ve participated in JustFaith programs to first educate ourselves on the history, evolution, impacts, and systemic nature of racism. Change begins within, and these transformative programs inspired us to grow and engage in our local communities. We now enjoy regular combined services with Union UCC in Norfolk, VA. CELEBRATING THE
LGBTQ COMMUNITY
LCCC participates annually at the Hampton Roads PrideFest. Stop by our table! We’re also actively engaged in supporting our transgender brothers and sisters, as our country experiences an unprecedented slew of anti-LGBTQ bills in many states as well as at the federal level. We proudly support the City of Virginia Beach’s policy of inclusion and non-discrimination of the LGBTQ community.

DEMOCRACY

A truly just society allows all voices to be heard. We believe a nation that fully participates in democracy means fewer marginalized communities that are underserved and under-represented. To increase community engagement, LCCC participates in the Get Out the Vote effort with postcard-writing campaigns - 800 sent recently.
